Publication Fee
Publication Charges Policy
Pakistan Social Sciences Review (PSSR) is managed and published by Research of Social Sciences (SMC‑Private) Limited (ROSS). The journal operates on a not‑for‑profit basis and does not receive regular financial support or sponsorship from any government body, institution, or external organization.
To maintain international publishing standards, ensure sustainable editorial operations, and support high‑quality peer review and production processes, PSSR applies modest Article Processing Charges (APCs). These charges are used solely to cover editorial handling, peer review management, copyediting, online hosting, archiving, and publication services.

- No submission or processing fee is charged at the time of manuscript submission.
- APCs are charged only after the manuscript has successfully passed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.
Payment Terms
- Payment is requested only after acceptance, following the completion of peer review and incorporation of reviewers’ comments.
- Accepted articles are scheduled for publication after confirmation of APC payment.
- If payment is delayed, the article may be scheduled for a subsequent issue, without affecting its acceptance status.
Refund Policy
Once an article has been formally accepted for publication and APCs have been invoiced, the charges are non‑refundable, as editorial and production processes have already been initiated.
Payment and Invoicing
- Upon acceptance, authors receive detailed instructions for payment.
- Payments are typically made via bank transfer.
- An official invoice can be issued upon request to facilitate institutional or departmental processing.
APC Waiver Policy
PSSR supports equitable access to scholarly publishing.
- APC waivers or partial reductions may be granted to authors who demonstrate genuine financial hardship.
- Special consideration may be given to students, researchers from low‑income regions, or authors affected by natural disasters, in line with internationally recognized humanitarian principles.
- Waiver requests must be submitted before or at the time of manuscript submission and are evaluated by the editorial office.
