American literature has potential to create positive impact on behaviour of the students as it is consisted of the values such as tolerance, mutual respect, sacrifice and love for humanity. But increasing craze to learn computing technology may lead the students to anxiety which is hypothesized to have its roots in teaching of computer in traditional ways. To investigate the impact of the either subject, 500 male and 210 female students of intermediate (computer group) were selected from 20 colleges of Kotli as a sample by using convenient sampling technique. Close-ended questionnaire was used to collect the required data. To determine validity of the research tool, value of internal consistency (Cronbach Alpha) was found 0.823. The obtained data was analysed through simple statistical tools. The findings indicated that the students showed lack of tolerance and forgiveness to others which is connected to the teaching of computing technology in traditional ways.
