Abstract

The study was carried out in order to lay ample focus on the social values, psychological issues and cultural norms of the nomads. This ethnographic study was constructed on “Interpretivist paradigm” within the qualitative inquiry. The data were collected through observations and focus group discussions (FGDs), including male and female. The data analysis technique (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis) was used to explain and explore the social experiences of nomads. The generated themes were explained through rich thick descriptions. The important emerging themes of the study were marriage ceremonies, religious rituals, superstitious beliefs, the patterns of their livelihood. These nomads long for settlement and establishment of their own permanent residences. They also want to be educated and rear their children in a proper way and expect a lot from the government. A special policy needs to be devised to develop the nomads' life by providing them with technical skills which might make their life better.
